To make Feathered Rice:
Spread 1 cup dry rice in shallow pan. Place in 400 degree oven and bake, stir until brown. Put rice in tight covered casserole, add 1/2 tsp salt, 2 1/2 cups boiling water, stir. Bake covered 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees.
